When I started as an editor, I worked on a team of 5-6 people, with a fantastic producer. We all shared our edits, spurred each other on, and learned from each other and our producer.

I still regularly stay in touch with everyone on that first job.

These days, editing is often self-taught and remote. This means we don’t get the feedback and mentorship that used to be a regular part of an editing career.

I’m hoping to change that with Editor Office Hours.

• Meet bi-weekly for a 1-hour video call

• Get feedback on projects

• Ask questions of myself and other industry veterans
